Sehoy
Sehoy came miles wide into the home straight in the 12-furlong maiden at Lingfield last Wednesday, foresaking acres of ground. He looked to have blown what looked like a real chance of winning the race from the front. He had travelled well down the hill into the home turn, but his wayward tendencies seemed to have ended his chance, and that of Some Time Good, who was unfortunate to be positioned on his outside, by the time they levelled up for home. Sehoy traded at 44/1 in-running at the top of the home straight, but he found plenty when Nicky Mackay asked him to go on, and he battled back gamely to get up to win by a neck.
This was just the second run of Sehoy's life and his first this season, so it is possible to put his steering problems down to greenness rather than to a poor attitude, and this is backed up by the willing attitude that he showed once he straightened up. He obviously stays this 12-furlong trip well (he probably travelled 12 and a half furlongs) and he can progress from this. His connections (John Gosden/George Strawbridge) of course have a useful arsenal with which to go to war this season, and Sehoy should progress from here. He could turn out to be very useful.
