Prime Exhibit
Prime Exhibit showed a nice turn of foot to land a Class 3 handicap at Sandown on Thursday. It looked as if Guilded Warrior might have stolen it from the front when Louis-Philippe Beuzelin kicked for home at the furlong pole, but Prime Exhibit picked up nicely when Steve Drowne asked him to go and catch the leader, and he did, inside the final 100 yards, with the pair of them finishing clear of their field. This was a decent race with some in-form and well-supported horses in it, and there was a lot to like about the turn of foot that Prime Exhibit showed to catch and pass the leader. This was just his second run of the season, and he should progress significantly for it. He is progressive anyway, and has only run six times now in his life. This seven-furlong trip appears to be his optimum now. He has the pace to travel well at the distance, to quicken and he has the ability to see it out strongly. His only other success was recorded on his only other start over seven - he has come up short over a mile and 10 furlongs - and he can go in again even if stepped up a little in class if kept to this distance.
