Imaam

Imaam put up a nice performance to win a Class 2 seven-furlong handicap at Leceister on Sunday. This was the first time that the son of Pivotal has been tried over seven furlongs on soft ground and that, combined with the forcing tactics employed, saw him to very good effect. This was a useful performance and, with four-time winner Rafta and the useful Kyllachy Star filling the minor honours, and the trio pulling clear of Sunshine Guest in fourth, the form is solid. The handicapper will have his say now, but Imaam is progressive now and could be very useful in these conditions with these tactics. He is worth following again over seven furlongs now on easy ground.
