Ingleby Lady
Ingleby Lady looked progressive at the end of last season, and she continued that progress on her seasonal debut in a six-furlong handicap at York on Friday, travelling well and quickening nicely when Graham Gibbons asked her to. She did drift over to the stands rails, and she forsook ground by so doing, but it didn't stop her forward momentum, and she never looked in danger of being caught by Baldemar or by the fast-finishing Esoterica. The winner reversed Ayr Bronze Cup running with Baldemar, on the same terms, and that rival had already had the benefit of a run this season. A daughter of Captain Rio, she seems to enjoy this fast ground, she is progressive and she should be worth following, despite a 5lb hike from the handicapper.
