Western Aristocrat
Western Aristocrat ran an eye-catching race in finishing a close-up third behind Strong Suit and Codemaster in the Jersey Stakes on Wednesday. Held up in rear, it took him a little while to find his stride when the pace quickened, but he finished best of all, closing in on the winner all the way to the line.
The Jeremy Noseda-trained colt had beaten Wednesday’s Sandringham Stakes winner Rhythm Of Light on his previous run, also over seven furlongs, but he should improve for going further now. An imposing individual, he should continue to progress with racing as the season develops, and he will be of significant interest when he steps up to a mile.
