Make Time
Make Time belied odds of 50/1 on his racecourse debut in the 7f maiden at Ascot on Saturday to finish second behind The Queen's colt Frontispiece.
Make Time was held up last in the early stages off a relatively sedate pace, but he made nice ground on the run to the 2f pole, and he showed a nice turn of foot to hit the front, before he was just nutted on the line by Sir Michael Stoute's colt, with favourite Muhajjal, who had had a run, just a head back in third.
It was a fine run from David Menuisier's horse, and, given that he was allowed go off at 50/1, it is probable that he will progress considerably for it. Also, the fact that he was sent off at such a big price means that there is a chance that he will be under-estimated when he runs next. He should win his maiden without much fuss before stepping up.
