Perfect Tapatino
There was a lot going on in the 1m handicap for older horses, there were plenty of hard-luck stories, but Perfect Tapatino was one of them. Last early on, Joseph O'Brien's horse started to make his progress along the inside early in the home straight for Alan Persse. He had to check his run twice, but he still finished off his race well enough to take fourth place, closest at the finish. He was in front a couple of strides past the line.
This was his seasonal debut and, relatively lightly raced for a five-year-old, there is every chance that he will come on for the run. He was progressive last season, he won twice over 12f, and he will be of interest again when he steps back up in trip.
