Chocolate Music

Chocolate Music ran another fine race to finish third behind Flight Risk in the Listed Platinum Stakes over seven furlongs from stall one. Settled towards the rear of the field on the far side by Shane Foley early on, Jessica Harrington's filly had to be niggled along at the three-furlong marker, but she picked up well and kept on gamely. The evergreen Flight Risk ran out an impressive winner, but Chocolate Music stayed on all the way to the line to take third place behind Jim Bolger's horse and Black Magic Woman, with the front three nicely clear.

It was a good run by the Dark Angel filly, racing from stall one and on the far side. She didn't have the run of the race in the Corrib Fillies Stakes at Galway on her previous run, but she proved here that she belonged in this grade. This was just her eighth run, and she could progress again. She would be worth another try back at a mile too, she seemed to see out the trip well in a listed race at Navan as a juvenile at the back end of last season.
