Mohaather
Mohaather had no luck in the Queen Anne Stakes. Held up early on by Jim Crowley, he just couldn't get a gap when he needed one. It was a race in which they didn't go a great pace, and which the prominent racers dominated. He eventually got a gap deep inside the final furlong, and he ran on under just a hands-and-heels ride, finishing off his race like a horse who had lots of energy left.
Marcus Tregonning's horse remains interesting. Winner of the Horris Hill as a juvenile two years ago, he had a setback last year after he won the Greenham Stakes, which ruled him out of the Guineas and out for most of the season. He returned in October and didn't run badly in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Champions' Day, finishing fifth behind King Of Change. This was just his sixth run, and he shaped as if he retains lots of talent. He will be of interest wherever he goes next. He could still take his place among the top older milers this season.
