Dancin Inthestreet
Dancin Inthestreet finished off her race best of all to take third place behind Art Power in the opening three-year-olds' five-furlong handicap. A little awkward out of the stalls, William Haggas' filly was well back in the field early on and towards the far side. Last or second last of the 21 runners on the run to the two-furlong marker, she made good progress among horses, but John Egan had to stop riding for a few strides and switch at the furlong pole in order to get racing room. She picked up again from there and finished off her race strongly among traffic to get up and take third place.
It never looked likely that she would get to the winner Art Power, but he is probably Group class and, in another couple of strides, Dancin Inthestreet would have caught Keep Busy for second place. She didn't have a lot of luck in-running either on her previous run, when she finished third in a five-furlong handicap at Haydock. That's her running style, she does seem to get herself behind early on, but she finishes off her races strongly over five furlongs. She has won over six, and she is worth another try over that distance, but a fast-run five furlongs on a stiff track ideally on easy ground could still be ideal for her.
