Inclyne
Inclyne did well to win the 10-furlong handicap, racing from stall eight but towards the centre of the track on a day on which it appeared that there was an advantage to be gained from racing close to the stands rail. Also, she was hampered a little early on, and she was shuffled back a bit, towards the rear of the field, so she had to make her ground widest of all from the rear, towards the centre of the track, away from the stands rail, on a day on which and at a track at which it usually pays to race prominently. Also, she had to battle to get the better of second favourite Involved, who had the benefit of the stands rail through the final furlong, and the pair of them finished a little way clear of their rivals.
This was a fine performance by Andrew Balding's filly. Her trainer has his horses in tremendous form, but this was the Intello filly's first run since September, so there is every chance that she will progress from it. A 3lb hike was not harsh, and she will be of interest now in another 10-furlong handicap off her new mark of 81.
