I don’t fancy The Giant Bolster, I just don’t think that this is his thing, soft ground at Haydock on his seasonal debut, and I think that Long Run is too short … I think that Silviniaco Conti is the biggest danger to Weird Al, and he really is a danger. He is a nice progressive chaser, he was among the best of what was a top class bunch of staying novice chasers last season and he was impressive in winning the Charlie Hall Chase on his debut this term. I think that he should be favourite in front of Long Run and, while 9/4 is short enough in absolute terms, I think that it is a fair bit bigger than he should be.
