We are nicely ahead of the market now with our bet on Barrichello in the Scottish Champion Hurdle, and I am also getting Anna Bunina on side now.

She ran really well in the race last year to finish second behind Milkwood.  She was well beaten by the winner, but she meets him on 13lb better terms today, she is 5lb lower now than she was then.

As well as that, she injured herself in the race last year, and trainer John McConnell said that it has taken her a little while to get over it.  She has run just three times this season so far and her latest run, when she finished third behind Socialist Agenda at Musselburgh, was her best of the three.  That should bring her forward nicely for today’s race, a race that has surely been her target all year.  She will love the goodish ground too. 

I do like Milkwood, but his stable’s form remains a concern, and he is weak in the market.  He may not have had the ideal run into this race.  I like Onemorefortheroad too, he did well to finish as close as he did in the Imperial Cup last time, having raced handily from early.  But he has been well found in the market, and I prefer Anna Bunina.
