Haiti Couleurs

Haiti Couleurs

11th-Mar-2025

I am backing old friend Haiti Couleurs in the re-imagined National Hunt Chase.

Rebecca Curtis’ horse has lots in his favour. He was very good in winning at Cheltenham’s December meeting when we had him on side, when he kept on well up the hill to win well. Transmission finished off his race strongly that day to take second place, and there is a school of thought that says that he can reverse placings over the longer trip, but I am not certain about that. Haiti Couleurs went and won his race, he was prominent from early and, while Transmission is a danger, I think that Haiti Couleurs can beat him again.

A 5lb hike for that win was not harsh, and he ran well for a long way over hurdles at Newbury last time. That should have put him spot on for this.

Transmission is a danger, as are Now Is The Hour and Gericault Roque, and I can see Will Do out-running his odds again, but Haiti Couleurs is the bet.

HAITI COULEURS WON (ADV 7/2, SP 7/2)
