I think that Ian Williams could hold the key to this. Dancing In Paris is the obvious one, and he has a real chance, but his price is just about right whereas, by contrast, both Real Dream and Oneforthegutter are bigger than they should be ...
Oneforthegutter could also run a big race. He ran some big races in big handicaps last year. He finished third in the Ebor and third in the November handicap off marks of 90 and 91. He gets to race off a mark of 92 today, just 3lb higher than the mark off which he finished second in this race last year.
He proved his wellbeing with a good run at Ayr last time when he finished second in a good handicap behind Insanity, a handicap from which the third horse Faylaq has since come out and run a good race in the Northumberland Plate. That run should have brought him forward nicely for today, and his only run at the July Course, in this race last year, was a good one.
ONEFORTHEGUTTER WON (ADV 16/1, SP 12/1)
(REAL DREAM 3RD, SP 11/1)
