Lynn Britt Cabin

Lynn Britt Cabin can be marked up at least a little on the bare form of her run to finish third in the premier three-year-old fillies’ handicap over a mile.  A little keen early on along the inside and just behind the pace, Fozzy Stack’s filly travelled well to the two-furlong marker.  She got buffeted around there though when she tried to pick up, the gap between Wild Cherry and Brook On Fifth got narrower, she was hampered between the pair of them, and she had to switch to the far side.  She did well in the circumstances to pick up again.  She had to be brave enough to go through another tight gap and, while Music To My Ears and Siamese finished stronger than she did down the outside, she stayed on well for Chris Hayes to finish a good third.

This was just the Dark Angel filly’s third run.  She had stayed on well to win her maiden at Gowran Park on her seasonal debut over seven furlongs, and this was a step forward from that.  The handicapper raised her by 3lb for this run to a mark of 84, but she has the scope to progress beyond that mark now, and she could be a black-type filly.  She holds an entry in the Ballycorus Stakes at Fairyhouse on Sunday over seven furlongs, and she will be of interest if she takes up that engagement.
