Past Winners » Aldaary

Aldaary may have been flattered by the bare form of his win at Ascot two weeks ago, he and Symbolize raced on the far side – just three horses did – and they finished well clear of the best horse on the near side.  That said, William Haggas’ horse was impressive in coming away from Symbolize, and the pair of them pulled well clear of the other horse who raced on the far side, Star Of Orion, who appeared to run his race.  He finished seventh overall of the 16 runners.

That run proved that Aldaary could operate on soft ground at Ascot.  He goes well at Ascot, he has now won two of his four races there, and he goes well on easy ground, and the step back up to a mile should be fine for him.

He is only four and he has raced just eight times in his life, so he has the potential to progress beyond the effective handicap rating of 109 off which he races today under his 6lb penalty.
