Content did well to keep on as well as she did to take third place behind Bluestocking and Emily Upjohn in the Pretty Polly Stakes at The Curragh on Saturday. Held up early on, Aidan O’Brien’s filly stayed on best of all from the rear in a steadily-run contest, as evidenced by her finishing speed of 106.73% of overall speed.

Winner of a Group 3 race over a mile on soft ground at The Curragh last October, this was her first run over 10 furlongs, and she saw out the trip well. She will be of interest now again over this trip or maybe even over 11 or 12 furlongs. There is obviously lots of speed in her pedigree, she is out of Nunthorpe Stakes winner Mecca’s Angel, but she is by Galileo and that is obviously where she gets her ability to see out this 10-furlong trip at least. She might remain under the radar a little bit after this run, with all the post-race attention focused on the fillies who finished first and second.
